Welcome to the site for guitarist, musician, composer, producer and educator, Gabriel Isaac.
Gabriel Isaac was the the touring guitarist for 80's hit makers Naked Eyes ("Always Something There to Remind Me"; "Promises, Promises") and also the lead guitarist of his own project, the Los Angeles based progressive rock band, Quactus. He is also a versatile session guitarist, composer and producer, having written, recorded and performed with various projects around the world, including co-writing several tracks with Nick Hexum, lead singer and guitarist of the band 311. First with "Friday Afternoon" for their 2014 release - Stereolithic, and recently with "Wildfire" "The Night Is Young" and "Extension" for their 2017 release MOSAIC.
Additionally he plays multiple instruments including bass, ukulele, mandolin, piano and the tabla. Gabriel has also been teaching guitar, ukulele, bass and music theory for over 20 years to students of all levels, including some well-known professional players. He holds multiple degrees in Music, including a Bachelors in Music Theory and Composition, a Masters in Jazz Studies (Guitar Performance), a second Masters in Historical Musicology, and he was a Doctoral Candidate at USC in Musicology/ Ethnomusicology/ Jazz Studies.
Throughout his career, Gabriel has toured throughout the US and World, sharing the stage with several national and international acts, including Quactus, Naked Eyes, Joan Jett and the Blackhearts, Collective Soul, Huey Lewis & the News, Richard Marx, Kool and the Gang, Tiffany, Eddie Money, Billy Squire, Wang Chung, A Flock of Seagulls, Starship, Modern English, Erasure, Berlin, Men Without Hats, Violent Femmes, Howard Jones, Andy Bell, When in Rome, Animotion, The Romantics, Sweet, John Popper (Blues Traveler), Leo Nocentelli (The Meters), Marc Ford (Black Crowes), Stephen Perkins (Jane's Addiction), Nels Cline (Wilco), Kris Myers (Umphrey's McGee), Moonalice (w/ members of Phil Lesh and Friends, Hot Tuna, Bruce Hornsby, and Jefferson Starship), EOTO (w/ members of String Cheese Incident), Melvin Seals and the Jerry Garcia Band, Particle, The Maykers (w/ members of the Jerry Garcia Band), Bobby Vega (Sly and the Family Stone), CR Gruver (Polytoxic/Outformation), Willie Waldman, The New Mastersounds, The Heavy Pets, Cubensis, Jamie Janover, Leon Mobley, and Al Howard & the K23 Orchestra.
